Our nearest centre is Naya Savera Delhi in Swaroop Nagar, North Delhi, about 60 minutes by road, depending on traffic, or a direct Yellow Line ride from Green Park or AIIMS station. We are a non-profit trust, treating alcohol and drug addiction since 2008, and our Delhi centre is licensed by the Delhi government. Our residential programme is for men. If someone in your family has just come home from a hospital visit after drinking or using, this page is about what comes next.
Safdarjung Enclave is a quiet residential area with AIIMS and Safdarjung Hospital a few minutes away. Emergency care is close, and that is often where addiction first becomes impossible to ignore: a fall, a blackout, a binge that ended in casualty.
That gap between discharge and the next relapse is where a rehab centre comes in.
If he drinks heavily every day, he should not quit suddenly at home. Withdrawal can be dangerous. Our guide to alcohol detox under medical supervision explains why. At Naya Savera, treatment runs in clear stages:

Our list of 12 questions to ask covers the rest. Families in nearby Hauz Khas and Green Park use the same Delhi centre.
Naya Savera does not run one in Safdarjung Enclave. Our nearest centre is Naya Savera Delhi in Swaroop Nagar, about 60 minutes away by road, depending on traffic. The Yellow Line from Green Park or AIIMS station runs directly to Jahangirpuri and Samaypur Badli, a short auto ride from us.
Call us while the experience is fresh, because that is often when a person is most open to help. Our team will ask about his drinking or drug use and his health, then guide you on assessment and admission. Admission still needs his own agreement, so we help you plan the conversation.
No. Admission at Naya Savera needs the person's own agreement. If he refuses, the family can still work with us: we help plan a calm, structured conversation or a guided intervention. A united family message, delivered without anger, works far better than threats or tricks.
Yes. We treat dependence on prescription pills, including sleeping and pain medicines, alongside alcohol and drugs such as smack and cannabis. Pills often sit alongside drinking, so tell us everything he takes. Detox begins only after a general health assessment on admission.
Days start with a spiritual practice, followed by yoga and exercise. Residents attend compulsory meditation, daily group therapy, study sessions and one-to-one counselling, and play outdoor games such as badminton. Time management is taught, and residents take responsibility for one another, a core part of the Therapeutic Community approach.
